What Upgrades Would You Recommend to Help a Client Get Top Dollar for Their Home When Selling?
I suggest the upgrades or remodel my clients plan to do will concentrate in the areas of the home that are most useful to any family: the kitchen/family room, along with the master suite including master bath.
The kitchen is truly the heart of the home, as we spend the majority of our time there. I would concentrate on cabinets and quiet appliances as buyers focus on those.
In terms of the overall home, don’t overlook lighting – a rule of thumb is that you can never have too much light in the kitchen or bathroom.
Having sold nearly $800 Million in the past 8 years, I have found that buyers are willing to pay more for a home if these areas are upgraded. I have also found these homes do not sit on the market very long.
