Huntington Central Park


Huntington Central Park is a spacious area for you and your dog to explore all that the 350 acres park has to offer. With more than six miles of paved trails, you and your pup will be pooped after the scenic walk through the trees. The park also has large grassy areas that are perfect for a picnic or just a nap under the shade after the beautiful walk. Another perk to this relaxing walk is the Park Bench Cafe, which is perfect for a quick bite to eat after a day in the park. pet friendly oc


Upper Newport Bay Ecological Reserve Loop


Newport has some of the most amazing views, along with some of the most amazing dog-friendly trails that are sure to make your dog’s tail wag. Upper Newport Bay Ecological Reserve Loop is a 5.3 mile walk that features a salt marsh with estuary ecosystems, bird watching and gorgeous greenery you’ll want the walk to last forever. The walk also has three different levels so you are able to choose which level of difficulty is the best for you and your pup. with a paved route, moderate dirt route or a more challenging inclined route you have multiple options for the best possible walk. pet friendly oc


Quail Loop Trail


As we continue down the coast, we head a little inland to Irvine where there are some great hiking trails for you and your pooch to enjoy. Quail Loop Trail is a 1.8 mile loop that is a great trail to get in a quick walk with your dog, while also enjoying the beautiful wild flowers and brush along the trail. It is a moderate walk with a slight incline at the end, so you will be sure to get in a good workout while also adoring the scenic view. The trail doesn’t have any shaded areas so make sure to bring plenty of water sunscreen for these hot summer days. pet friendly oc

Aliso Summit Trail


Aliso Summit Trail is another great coastal trail in Laguna Beach that features a fantastic view while on a walk with your puppy pal. The out and back trail is about seven miles, with an amazing view of the ocean on a peak at the destination. There is also beautiful wild flowers along the trail that make the view that much better, there is little shade on the trail so be sure to bring your sunscreen and water for those warm sunny days. This is the walk of all walks for you and your pup to venture out on when you have the time to go on this lengthy hike. pet friendly oc

Heritage Park 


Heritage Park in Dana Point is a great place to walk your dog on a luxurious walk over looking Dana Point Harbor, or just relax on the grassy hills playing fetch with your fluffy pup. The walk is an out and back mile paved walkway that has steps and an incline if you park at the bottom of the park. There is a gorgeous view when you make it to the top, where you can rest on the grass and enjoy the view of the harbor. With the park also being right on the coast there is a breeze to keep you cool while you and your best bud are on the walk. pet friendly oc
